今は聴けないCNN放送のテーマソング

仏政府が外国向けのニュース専門テレビ局を開局する方針を決めたと朝日新聞が報じた。フランス語のほか英語やアラビア語での放送されるらしい。「仏版ＣＮＮ」といえるだろう。

米国の（Cable News Network）が"CNN"として世界に認知されだした頃、確か20年程前だったと記憶しているが、放送の合間に時折流れるテーマソングがあった。その内容を見ると当時のCNNのニュースの見方、報道の仕方、見解が見えるようであった。軽やかなリズムにのって流れてくるそのテーマソングに、これからのニュース番組がどのように変わるのだろうとわくわくしたことを思い出す。
